Does My Sneezing Cat Need to See a Vet?
Question by kerri c: Does my sneezing cat need to see a vet?
My 3 year old cat has been sneezing intermittently for the past 5 days or so. I have checked and the mucous is clear and very runny, like saliva. He is eating well, drinking well, and as playful as ever. Does he need to see a vet for this or is it a simple bug that will pass?
appt. made for monday, thanks all.

Upper respiratory infections can come up quickly and get bad very fast. If the discharge is clear though there is probably no reason to take him. But keep an eye on it, if it gets any worse at all IMMEDIATELY take him.

he should be seen better safe than sorry
Maybe you can call the vet clinic and ask if he needs to go to the vet so that you don’t need to guess yourself.
